Do you have questions about Medicare? Do you want to see if you would qualify for MaineCare or the Medicare Savings program? Come learn the difference between copays, deductibles, coinsurances, and premiums. You will learn about programs available to Maine Residents of all ages. Come with any questions you have about how medical insurance works.

Dive into relational strategies that foster youth mattering. Experiencing mattering is linked with a significantly lower risk of considering suicide, substance use, and improved lifelong health outcomes. This work begins in early childhood education. Integrating discussion questions, participants will have an opportunity to learn the key ingredients of mattering and to practice mattering strategies with one another that they can bring to their work in early childhood education, caregiving, and community building.

The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a driver improvement course that is designed to improve a student’s defensive driving awareness. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways. Our goal is to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce vehicle-related crashes. A student who completes the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record and may be eligible for insurance discount. PLEASE NOTE: This class will take place on Saturday, 11/8, not 11/5 as listed in the brochure.

Bring your little one and meet other new parents at our monthly coffee hour! While this coffee hour is primarily for socializing with other parents, guest speakers will also be sharing resources for new parents
