Get an inside look at the York County Sheriff’s Office and learn about the different aspects of police work as a rural deputy. You will learn about the history of sheriffs and how the sheriff's office is structured with three major divisions. There are 16 contact hours scheduled with a mandatory ride-along with a patrol deputy scheduled at your convenience . While it is recommended that students not miss any classes, if a student misses more than two classes, they will be recycled to another academy that better suits their schedule.
