Knitting Basics 2
with BJ Melick

Ideal for beginners, or 'rusty' knitters, who would like to learn more of the basics. Feel more confident with knitting and creating your own projects. Bring your questions! Topics may include fixing common mistakes, Reading patterns, reading charts. Weekly homework will practice new stitch combinations that can be made into an afghan. You must be able to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off independently. Bring: worsted weight yarn, and size appropriate needles, as well as notions.
Amtrak Trip to Boston
with MCAL Staff

Let's go to Boston! Take the train with MCAL and then enjoy the city for the day. This trip includes transportation only. Please plan your own activities for the day.
Take the Amtrak Downeaster train to Boston and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather. Arrive within walking distance of the North End, Faneuil Hall, New England Aquarium, the Museum of Science, and other famous Boston attractions. You will be taking the 8:39 AM train from Wells, and returning on the 5:20 PM train from Boston North Station. Purchase tickets by April 13.
Build Your Own Computer

This class will explore basic computer science. We’ll get set up, then we will work on imaging, networking, SSH to enable remote access, creating a web server, and creating a media server. Once you register, we will send you a materials list for you to purchase everything you need for the class (estimated cost of materials is around $100-200).
